The Levitt AMP Grant Awards is an exciting multi-year matching grant program made possible by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, a national creative placemaking funder dedicated to strengthening the social fabric of America through the power of free, live music. As a foundation committed to building community through music, Levitt AMP revitalizes underused public spaces, ensures access to the arts and celebrates the power of music to foster connections among people of all ages and backgrounds.
ABOUT SCOTLAND SATURDAYS
Since its founding in 2018, Scotland Saturdays has become the go-to organization for information and opportunity for small business owners, performing artists, community development initiatives and economic sustainability resources. We have made a name for ourselves cultivating the ultimate family experiences, fun, food and shopping.

Our partnership with Mayor Broome and specifically the Safe Hopeful Healthy Initiative has ensured our ability to create a safe and secure environment for our community.
Parish of East Baton Rouge
Our partnership with city of Baton Rouge gives us access to the departments and resources that ensure the proper maintenance, compliance, and safety measures are taken in the plaza, before, during, and after the Levitt AMP Baton Rouge live music series.
A fierce community leader, Councilwoman Chauna Banks is the council member that represents the area in which the Scotlandville Plaza. It is her direct efforts that has lead to the expansion and renovation of the Scotlandville Plaza.
As the tourism agency for the city of Baton Rouge, Visit Baton Rouge, has greatly assisted in getting the information on our efforts out to greater population of our city and parish.
NURA Co., is a local marketing agency that is responsible for the implementation of Levitt AMP Baton Rouge as a brand. Their work in our inaugural year will help ensure our success for many years to come.
EMEDIAGC.COM is a 24/7 electronic and physical distribution service delivering to millions of subscribers throughout the Gulf Coast daily. Being a resident of the Scotlandville community, CEO Fred Sergeant has been a long time supporter of Scotland Saturdays in assisting us in the creation and distribution of our advertising materials.
With several longstanding relationships in the community, the Walls Project has served as catalyst and resource to many creative placemaking projects within Scotlandville and several other underserved communities in our city. Our partnership with the will allow for the three major art installations within the Scotlandville Plaza, as well as the employment of local students and working artists.
With a medical facility located in Scotlandville, we’ve always been able to count on Ochsner for support of our organizational efforts.
Metromorphosis has been a constant supporter and ally in our efforts. As a community organization sitting in the cross section of the community leaders and effective training/resources, Metromorphosis has been a mentor and advisor to Scotland Saturdays’ leadership team.
A staple in our community the East Baton Rouge Parish Library makes their efforts count by being present and available to promote literacy and reading throughout our community.
While our culture has evolved over our firm’s 60-plus-year history, we are still driven by Dan Edelman’s founding principles, including entrepreneurship, independence and the mandate that everyone is an account executive. Established in 1973 through efforts led by the Junior League of Baton Rouge, the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge (ACGBR) endeavors to promote cultural growth, economic development, and educational enhancement through the arts in and around the 11-parish region it serves. Those parishes include Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupée, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Feliciana, and West Baton Rouge.
